Sukhoi, Mirage Fighter Jets crashed in Madhya Pradesh during training

Two Indian Air Force fighter jets have crashed in Madhya Pradesh during a training exercise, reports said on Saturday.

The Su-30 had two pilots while Mirage 2000 had one pilot, defence sources said. Two pilots ejected from the aircraft and are reported to be safe.

Both the fighter jets had taken off from the Gwalior Air Force base.

The Air Force has established a Court of Inquiry to study whether the two jets collided with each other mid-air, defence sources told NDTV.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been briefed by the Indian Air Force chief on the crash of two aircrafts.

"The Su-30 had two pilots while Mirage 2000 had one during the crash. Initial reports suggest two pilots are safe. An IAF chopper is on its way to the location of the third pilot".
